Mokokchung, Feb 14 (WE THE NAGAS): Mokokchung Police intercepted a dumper bearing registration number NL02 K 9555 on February 14, 2026, at around 4:00 PM and seized a large quantity of illicit liquor during a routine checking.
Upon inspection of the vehicle, the police recovered 93 cases of MC Rum (780 ml), two cases of whisky (180 ml), and three cases of Kingfisher beer (180 ml).
In connection with the seizure, two persons were arrested on the spot. Police officials informed that further investigation is currently underway to ascertain the source and intended distribution of the seized consignment.
