๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐ข, ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ (๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐): Nagaland University’s Multidisciplinary Research Centre (MDRC) on Friday organised a one-day training programme titled “Igniting Young Minds: A Training Programme on Artificial Intelligence and Multidisciplinary Research” at its Lumami campus.
The programme began with the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Vice-Chancellor Prof. J.K. Patnaik, followed by a welcome address by MDRC Coordinator Prof. Ambrish Singh. The inaugural session was chaired by Dr. Thejano, while Dr. Alka introduced the objectives and activities of the Multidisciplinary Research Centre. A cultural programme featuring a solo rap on women’s safety and a group song was also presented.
In his address, Prof. Patnaik highlighted the importance of education and research in Northeast India and underscored the role of the MDRC in promoting multidisciplinary research. He also encouraged students to make effective use of the SWAYAM platform for learning, skill development and academic advancement.
An expert session on Artificial Intelligence was delivered by Prof. Ambrish Singh, who spoke on the responsible and judicious use of AI in everyday life and research. His presentation encouraged students to embrace emerging technologies while using them ethically and effectively.
The programme concluded with participants gaining valuable insights into artificial intelligence, multidisciplinary research and new opportunities for academic and professional growth.
