๐‹๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ฆ๐ข, ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ (๐–๐„ ๐“๐‡๐„ ๐๐€๐†๐€๐’): Nagaland University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik formally released the brochure and flyer for the National Conference on โ€œBiodiversity Conservation and Climate Resilience in North East Indiaโ€“2026โ€ on August 21 at the University’s headquarters in Lumami.

The two-day conference, themed โ€œStrategies for a Sustainable Future,โ€ will be held on October 6 and 7, 2026.

The conference is being organised by the Department of Environmental Science, Nagaland University, in collaboration with the Forest and Biodiversity Management in Himalaya (Nagaland) Project under the Nagaland State Biodiversity Board and Lemsachenlok, Longleng.

Speaking at the release programme, Prof. Patnaik emphasised the importance of biodiversity conservation and climate resilience in the ecologically sensitive North Eastern region. He expressed confidence that the conference would provide a platform for researchers, academicians, policymakers, conservation practitioners and students to discuss environmental challenges and sustainable solutions.

Conference Convener Prof. Ashutosh Tripathi said the event aims to bring together experts and stakeholders from diverse disciplines to discuss strategies for biodiversity conservation and climate resilience.

Interested participants can submit abstracts and complete registration by September 15, 2026.
