New Delhi, Feb 12 (WE THE NAGAS): BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has taken a formal step in Parliament, submitting a substantive motion in the Lok Sabha seeking the termination of Rahul Gandhi’s parliamentary membership and a lifetime ban on contesting elections.

Dubey accused the Leader of the Opposition of misleading the nation through his Lok Sabha speeches and of being linked with foreign entities like the Soros Foundation, USAID and Ford Foundation. He claimed Gandhi’s remarks — including those made during recent debates — reflect anti-India motives, and urged that his Lok Sabha membership be cancelled and he be barred from future polls.

The motion, described as substantive rather than a formal breach of privilege notice, has sparked sharp political debate. The Congress party dismissed the move, with leaders calling it a political tactic and challenging the basis of the allegations.

The situation unfolds amid heightened tensions in Parliament, including recent disputes over Rahul Gandhi’s criticisms of government policies and procedural conduct in the House.

As this political confrontation continues, the fate of the motion — and any formal parliamentary action — will depend on procedural examination and the Speaker’s discretion in the coming days.
